Teacher Notes
I am a big advocate of finding resources for activities, interactive notebooks, posters/word wall word, and other resources on Pinterest and on Teachers Pay Teachers (with free &/or inexpensive downloads, as you will see I've uploaded some example documents - Scientific Method Posters under Skills and a Weathering and Erosion packet). I use these sites because I believe that finding things that have worked in other classrooms, by other teachers, who have taken the time to share them are usually worthwhile.

Additional sites that I would recommend for information and links for science resources that can be used across topics include:

Additional sites that I would recommend for information and links for science resources that can be used across topics include:
- UC Berkeley's Understanding Science website is a "must use" for all science teachers. Understanding Science also provides a variety of teaching resources including case studies of scientific discoveries and lesson plans for every grade level.
- Two fun animated educational sites for students, filled with videos and quizzes are BrainPop and BrainPOP Jr.
- Virginia Department of Education enhanced scope and sequence lesson plans for science.
- Lastly, is a University of Richmond Professor's site for Teaching Elementary Science. It provides helpful resources for thinking about science vocabulary instruction, graphic organizers, interactive notebooks, books and articles, foldables, and ready-made lessons.
